Julia Newman and Emily Taylor
Julia Newman and Emily Taylor are our Churchwardens. The office of Churchwarden predates the Norman Conquest. Before Parish Councils were ever dreamt of the Churchwardens were the local government. They were appointed every year by parishioners at the Vestry Meeting. Now, in the 21st Century the Churchwardens are still elected separately and differently to other church officers. Their rôle is to work with the clergy and PCC in setting the direction of the church. They are the Bishop’s Officers and the senior laity in the church.
Justine Turton is our Administrator. She is often the first point of contact for virtually everyone in church. Justine has brought a wealth of experience to the task of Administrator. Her previous work includes time spent as a Stage Manager with Disney Cruise Lines, Hong Kong Disneyland and various companies within the West End. Her role is to keep the church functioning day by day so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions about life at St Peter’s.
