UPDATE: 4th September 2017

Foodbank Update

As the national newspapers have reported within the last week, there has been a big increase across the country in the number of clients referred to foodbanks.  As a result, most are very short of supplies.  In Oundle we are OK because we simply draw from Stamford to replace what we issue, but Stamford themselves are very low - about 30% of normal.

So please don't forget to put something in the boxes in Waitrose or Co-op when you shop - preferably not dried pasta, pasta sauce tea or coffee as adequate stocks of these are held.

The recent appeals for more volunteers have been very successful.  We are now only looking for someone who can lift heavy crates of food, to help with transport to and from Stamford on Monday mornings;  about two hours from 0845, car not needed.

If you are interested and would like to know more, speak to Val Wood at St Peter's or Alan Strange at Oundle Baptist, or contact David Hardwick: 01832 273567; oundlefoodbank@gmail.com.
