Open garden in aid of famine in South Sudan: how the church is helping

According to the UN, 100,000 people in South Sudan face starvation, and a further 4.9 million are urgently in need of food and security. The church in South Sudan is bravely reaching out to those in need of relief and comfort. We are members of the one Body of Christ, and we can reveal the hands and feet of Christ by giving to USPG (the United Society Partners in the Gospel) - one of the missions St Peter's church supports.

David and Sheila Wills are generously opening their garden at 62 Benefield Road on Saturday May 13th, from 11 am - 5 pm, in support of USPG's Rapid Response Fund. This can help get essentials like maize flour, rice and cooking oil into the hands of those who need it most. Our gifts will help strengthen the Church of South Sudan to bring the hope of Christ where it is desperately needed.
