Youth Activities

Youth

Young People at St Peter’s enjoy getting to know God and each other.  They are valued members of our church family.

Breathe (aimed at 12 – 14 year olds)

Breathe is a group for those who are now at secondary School.  They meet in No1 Osyths Lane (kindly offered to us by Oundle Baptist Church).  They share a time of bible reflection, prayer, games and refreshments. .The aim is to explore how we fllow Jesus not just on Sundays but every day.

For those a little older, we encourage them to join in with the main church service on a Sunday morning.  In the evening,  ’Rooted’ provide weekly opportunities for teenagers to engage in Bible study and chill  together.  We also encourage our teenagers to be part of small discipleship groups where they can meet regularly with adults who are trained in helping young people grow in faith.  To find out more please contact the office on 01832 275675.

Sunday at 6-8pm, Rooted is where our Y10-Y13s look at the Bible together, challenge each other to put it into practice. Each week they play games, eat yummy snacks, and interact through bible study and discussion. Rooted is a great place to build friendships with other young Christians.

Tuesday at 3.30- 5.45pmWest Porch Café Is a fun and lively after school drop-in for young people at Secondary School (Y7-13).  Over cake, sandwiches and other yummy snacks (all free) we chat, play table tennis, pool and other games.  The adult team members are trained and eager to get to know the young people who come along, and are able to offer support and a listening ear when needed.  All welcome, just come along to St Peter’s church on a Tuesday during term time.

Thursday at 5.30-7.30pm, The Way takes place on Thursday evenings (during term time) in Oundle Methodist Church. The group explores what it would be like if we lived like Jesus did.  This group is just for Y7 - Y9.  Each week they eat dinner together, discover what Jesus said and how that can help us live life to the full.  It is lots of fun!
